This is the fourth exhibition in the Pull Up a Chair series, an exhibition that uses chairs as a starting point for personal storytelling. Fourteen invited artists were challenged to transform a chair into a work that reflects a meaningful story drawn from their own lives. These stories come from family history, personal experiences, favorite books, cultural traditions, historical moments, and social or political engagement.

Because chairs are familiar, everyday objects, they naturally suggest presence, rest, and conversation. In this exhibition, each chair carries a specific narrative while also contributing to a larger discussion about identity, memory, and shared experience. Together, the works invite visitors to slow down, consider the stories being told, and reflect on their own. These works encourage visitors to pause, engage with the stories presented, and think about their individual experiences.

The exhibition emphasizes storytelling as way to connect people. By bringing together individual perspectives, Pull Up a Chair, Tell Me a Story encourages understanding, empathy, and dialogue across different experiences and backgrounds.
